My intention for this class is to lift my students up, give them clarity about why they are here, inspire them, support their creativity and enhance their skills. As always the class will be joyous, non-competitive and life enhancing.
This is a 3 week workshop instead of the usual 2 week.
Swiss psychologist Carl Jung described an archetype as "an inherited pattern of thought or symbolic imagery derived from the past collective experience and present in the individual unconscious."
Caroline Moss, who is one of today's leading experts on archetypes says "Knowing your archetypal patterns is the beginning of understanding why you are who you are." These are not stereotypes. They are a more complicated look at humankind.
In this workshop you will take a fun little test to discover your most prominent archetypes. You will learn more about therm and then will create one or more Mixed Media pieces representing one or more of your archetypes.
You will learn how to transfer your archetype from a photo into a line drawing. You will add colors, collage and symbols that are meaningful to you.
